BRITISH VALUES 

Democracy

Through play texts such as; Blue Remembered Hills, Let him have it, Blood Brothers, Too Much Punch for Judy and DNA.
Through SOW such as; devising from a stimulus we touch upon a range allowing students to express their thoughts and opinions.  We explore:  Cyberbullying, School shootings, Knife Crime, Racism, Diversity, Identity, Drink driving,  etc. 
All pupils in all year groups will take part in discussions and decision making activities.

The Rule of Law

Discussed and explored through social issue schemes of work such as; cyberbullying, knife crime, racism, drug abuse, terrorism, rioting, shootings etc.

Discussed and explored through play texts such as;
Blood Brothers, Too Much Punch for Judy, Blue Remembered Hills, Chatroom and Find Me. 

Individual Liberty

All pupils are able to access a range of different styles and cultures of theatre.

SOW include; a History of Theatre Commedia dell'arte, Shakespeare, Verbatim and Greek Theatre.

Each student is invited to share and discuss their opinions and views on social issues and styles of theatre.

Pupils able to access live theatre though trips, workshops, we have had Stage-ed in to run a full days workshop for Blood Brothers the GCSE set text, we have Guildford Shakespeare Company perform annually and we invite Godalming College to perform the A level drama performances to inspire students. .

This is a clear expectation of all students and staff in all aspects of Drama in the school – classroom, extra-curricular, workshops etc.

Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

Discussed and explored through social issue schemes of work such as; cyberbullying, knife crime, racism, drug abuse, terrorism, rioting etc.

All pupils in all year groups will take part in discussions about different beliefs and faiths during their lessons in Drama.
