Cadets
Cadets:
Broadwater School has partnered with Charterhouse School to form a Broadwater School Army Cadets unit. The Broadwater Cadets complete their training at Charterhouse on a Wednesday and participate in a training syllabus that covers:
- First aid
- Military history
- Weapon handling
- Shooting
- Field craft
- And many other leadership opportunities.
The Broadwater Cadets has been very popular since launched, and each Cadet completed an application to join. The Cadets is only in its first year at Broadwater, but interest is already very high for next year as the students recognise the exceptional opportunities and leadership training they can access through the Cadets.
The Cadets is overseen by Major John Eastham who is Charterhouse Contingent Commander and Broadwater Adult Under Officers Stuart Cook and Megan Lennon. They parade each Wednesday afternoon and attend school in Cadet uniform for the day.
