Parents have a statutory right of appeal against the decision not to offer a place at a school, under the School Standards & Framework Act 1998.

Appeals will be heard by an independent appeals panel established by the Greenshaw Learning Trust to hear the appeal. The panel will decide whether to uphold or dismiss the appeal. Where a panel upholds the appeal the school is required to admit the child.

Appeals for entry in September 2021 must be received by Friday 23 April 2021 at the latest if these are to be heard by the Independent Appeals Panel by Friday 25 June 2021.  Appeals received after Friday 23rd April where possible, will be heard by Friday 25 June 2021; however, this will depend on the date the appeal is lodged and cannot be guaranteed.

Parents/carers wishing to appeal must send a written request for an appeals pack to or;
