GCSE Celebration Evening 7.30pm

9th November 2017 19:30

GCSE Celebration Evening - Thursday 9th November 2017 at 7.30pm

Guest Speaker: Mr Stuart Overington, Former Student of Broadwater School

Dear former students,

I hope that you are enjoying life after Broadwater, whatever you have gone on to do.  We would like to invite you and your family to the 2017 GCSE Celebration Evening where you will be receiving your GCSE certificates.  We are very much looking forward to seeing you on this important occasion and we hope as many of you as possible will be able to attend.

You will be met in Reception by Mrs Hatcher and seated in alphabetical order to assist with a smooth presentation procedure.  Individual results are not read out.  You are called forward in groups of five to collect your certificates.

As this is a formal occasion and many dignitaries will be attending to help you celebrate, please dress smartly.

After the ceremony, coursework will be available for collection from the Dining Hall.  If you are not able to attend, certificates will be available for collection from Reception from the following day and coursework from departments.  After this time, unless arrangements have been made with staff, coursework will be disposed of.

We would like to offer parents the opportunity to donate a book to the school Library in recognition of the education you have received at Broadwater.  Commemorative bookplates are used to acknowledge such presentations.  In recent years the Library has benefited considerably by this arrangement which has provided many books which are extremely popular with the students.  Any donations can be enclosed with the reply slip (attached) or handed to Mrs Matthews on the evening.

The staff very much look forward to meeting you once again and we would love to hear what you have gone on to do.

Lizzi Matthews
