The Successful apprentice will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities. You will work in classes alongside the teacher to support learners. Further into the apprenticeship you will help lead interventions, working with small groups and individuals outside the classroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role, managing and promoting the Learning Resource Centre, reporting to the Head of English.

We are seeking a person who will maintain an open learning environment which supports students in their learning and encourages the enjoyment of reading and research.  The job holder will ensure that appropriate text, audio, visual and IT resources are available to support students and staff, creating an ethos that supports the independent learning of students across the school.  They will also be required to lead and promote the highly successful Accelerated Reader programme, overseeing each fortnightly English LRC lesson, and drive reading progress at Key Stage 3.
