Broadwater School, situated between Godalming and Guildford in Surrey is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11 – 16. Its modern and well-equipped school buildings are situated in spacious grounds with extensive sports facilities.  The mainline station of Farncombe is 10 minutes’ walk from the school and is on the main Waterloo to Portsmouth line.

TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION / HUMANITIES

TMS /UPS (dependent upon experience)

Required for September 2019.  This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Religious Education and Humanities teacher to join our successful team. Applications are welcome from newly qualified or experienced teachers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire students to high levels of achievement and will be required to teach across the ability range in KS3 and KS4, following the Surrey RE syllabus.  At KS4, where possible, teachers will teach to their specialism up to GCSE.

Our Humanities Department is committed to developing students who are enthusiastic, excited and engaged: equipped with skills to understand the changing environment that we live in.  The department work together to ensure that they provide a rich curriculum which challenges students to develop their knowledge, skills and metacognition.

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE MANAGER

Salary grade: PS7

Actual salary £23,100-£25,955

Weeks per year:  39 (Term-time only)

Monday to Thursday 8.45-4.30

Friday 8.45-4.15

(Part-time may also be an option)

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role, managing and promoting the Learning Resource Centre, reporting to the Head of English.

We are seeking a person who will maintain an open learning environment which supports students in their learning and encourages the enjoyment of reading and research.  The job holder will ensure that appropriate text, audio, visual and IT resources are available to support students and staff, creating an ethos that supports the independent learning of students across the school.  They will also be required to lead and promote the highly successful Accelerated Reader programme, overseeing each fortnightly English LRC lesson, and drive reading progress at Key Stage 3.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a vital new role assisting with the behavioural development and growth of Broadwater School.  The job holder will oversee Broadwater’s behaviour policy and how it is applied comprehensively across the school, supporting and developing the skills of all staff in order to ensure that high standards of student behaviour and attendance are sought and achieved.

EXAMS & DATA MANAGER

Salary grade: PS8

Actual salary £27,476-£30,871

Full-time equivalent £30,660-£33,842

Weeks per year:  41 (Term-time only + 2 weeks by arrangement)

Core hours – 36 per week

Monday to Thursday 8.45-4.30

Friday 8.45-4.15

This will be an annualised contract as the job holder will experience peaks and troughs in workload dependant on the examination season and other factors.  Flexibility is required with hours, to fit in with the needs of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role.  Reporting to a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the school’s data.  You will carry out regular data reporting and provide interpretation for others.  This vital work will support the school in striving to raise standards of teaching and learning.  The post includes responsibility for organisation and administration of all aspects of the school’s external and internal examination processes.

We are seeking a highly organised person with a genuine interest in data.  You are a competent SIMS user with a good knowledge of school data, experience of analysing data and the ability to stay calm under pressure.  The job holder will need a flexible approach to working hours, as the workload changes across the academic year.
