Broadwater School, situated between Godalming and Guildford in Surrey is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11 – 16. Its modern and well-equipped school buildings are situated in spacious grounds with extensive sports facilities. The mainline station of Farncombe is 10 minutes’ walk from the school and is on the main Waterloo to Portsmouth line.

HEAD OF ENGLISH
SALARY: Teachers Main / Teachers Upper (23,547 - £39,331) Plus TLR 1 (2) - (£9050)
Required for September 2017. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic teacher of English with knowledge of the new syllabus, capable of motivating and inspiring students to high levels of achievement.
The English department have maintained exceptional standards in both progress and attainment, reaching 81% A*-C last year and regularly achieving over 80% 3 levels of progress, which put us in the top 6 percent of schools for this measure. As a Philosophy for Children (P4C) lead school we practise the skills of the 4Cs: critical, creative, collaborative and caring thinking, placing them at the heart of everything we do. Every student is important.

We are looking to appoint individuals, to act as examination invigilators in our school. We are aiming to build a regular team; the initial requirement is for the summer exam period May – June 2017. Applications are welcome from people with experience, but training will be provided.
Working hours will be variable depending on examination requirements, but will normally be between 8.45am and 3.20pm.
